QUT has again been recognized as one of Australia's top universities for Master of Business Administration (MBA) and Executive MBA programs.
QUT ranked third nationally for both its MBA and Executive MBA programs in the Australian Financial Review BOSS MBA Ranking released today.
QUT Graduate School of Business executive director Bob O'Connor said the university's MBA program retained its third place nationally while the Executive MBA program stepped up from fourth to third place.
"This is very pleasing as we've put enormous effort into tailoring our Executive MBA program to support leadership and decision making in corporate and government organisations operating in ambiguous, emergent and complex environments," he said.
"Working with our clients we take a 'problem solving' approach to our programs and this ensures that businesses and government agencies are virtually guaranteed of an outcome that will boost productivity.
"We are also providing individuals with the skills to advance their careers by equipping them with the skills to be agents of change within their organisations."
Mr O'Connor said Queensland businesses and the public should take heart in the fact that QUT, the University of Queensland and Griffith University all ranked within the top four MBA courses.
"These rankings prove that the quality of post-graduate business education in Queensland is superior to that of any other state or territory in Australia," he said.
"While the resources boom has led major companies to the doors of Queensland universities our long-standing ability to help a diverse range of companies across industry sectors solve complex business problems gives QUT cause for optimism for the future."
QUT's Business School holds the triple crown of accreditation by international business associations and its MBA programs were recognised by The CEO Institute as the first to meet the academic standard for Certified CEO.
