- QUT Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter Coaldrake appeared in 9 News and Ten News stories from the BIO Convention in Philadelphia, following the announcement of a new agreement between QUT and QIMR Berghofer.
- Professor Lyn Griffiths' migraine work and a new QUT-India collaboration were covered by AAP.
- Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Arun Sharma and QUT robotics were featured in a 7 News story on the Queensland Premier's trade mission visit to MIT.
- The Australian spoke to digital poet Dr Jason Nelson about The Cube works he's produced as part of his digital writing residency at The Cube. Fairfax, ArtsHub and Scenestr also featured the story.
- Lynette Mackey's research and call for participants for a study on emotional over-eating was run on Seven News, along with details of how to sign up.
- Dr Maria O'Reilly and her surveys into dementia and flying were in the AAP weekly medical column, as seen on news.com.au and Channel 9, and on 4BC, Radio National breakfast and Senior Traveller magazine.
- ABC Queensland spoke with Dr Marguerite Sendall about the results of a QUT-led program to improve the health of truckies. The program was also covered by Prime Mover Magazine and the AAP weekly medical column run by news.com.au and Channel 9.
- Dr Ronald Schroeter was on Spencer Howson's ABC breakfast program talking about his research into using games to reduce young male drivers taking risks.
- Old Government House curator Dr Katie McConnel spoke about the new school holiday activity at Old Government House called Voice in the Walls on the Great South East.
- Dr Courtney Pedersen discussed her guest-curated exhibition, Quarternary, in ArtsHub and Sunday Mail articles.
- Dr Gary Mortimer shared his views on Woolworths' CEO quitting, the company axing 1200 jobs and the why the community was turning away from the supermarket giant, with Sydney Morning Herald, Australian Financial Review, Daily Mail, farmonline.com.au and Queensland Country Life. Lifehacker also republished his Conversation article about Lidl eyeing off the Australian grocery market.
- Term three of QUT's PEACH program to address childhood obesity was reported by APN papers including the Sunshine Coast Daily, with project dietitian Emma Esdaile also on the Hit 91 radio network.
- Australian Business republished Professor Brian McNair's Conversation article that argued for journalists to get better at reporting science.
- Tone Deaf profiled QUT music academic Lachlan Goold, AKA Magoo.
- Scenestr and Hush Hush Biz mentioned the work of Audax Industria Ensemble, formed by QUT students, which is performing in the Short+Sweet Festival.
- NASA published a photo of a Hubble Telescope model made by the Science & Engineering Faculty's ace 3D-printing technician Melissa Johnston.
- Dr Andrew Baker's newly discovered antechinus species continued to take the world by storm, with stories in Ideal, ABC de Savilla and Qianlong.
- The Sydney Morning Herald featured acting alumnus Jerome Meyer's new movie about a controversial Canberra murder.
- Creative Drinks profiled a new web series produced by graduating QUT students.
- Professor Myles McGregor-Lowndes told News.com.au that Australians weren't as charitable as people in the US, UK and Canada.
