G20 social media maps
In a first for any G20 event, we're mining tweets about what's happening inside the declared zones, and plotting them on four interactive maps.
Twitter hot spots - popular locations mentioned
•UQ - due to it being designated a declared zone because of Obama's planned lecture on campus.
•Brisbane Airport - particularly related to delegate-spotting. Last week it was the focus of campaigns to overturn the Brisbane Airport ban on the #OnMyAgenda billboard, which was deemed too political.
•Brisbane Convention Centre - discussions about lockdowns and barricades, as well as potential protests.
•Musgrave Park - where protests will be centred. Over the past 24 hours, there have been a number of tweets about news stories relating to a chef who has set up a tent kitchen to feed protestors there.
