MEDIA HIGHLIGHTS

- Brisbane Times and Channel Ten spoke to Dr Tim Foresman about the spatial revolution on our doorstep and Brisbane's place at its epicentre.

- Dr Foresman also explained the advantages of businesses using spatial information as part of their business intelligence to the Courier-Mail's QB monthly magazine.

- QUT alumni and bluebox success story Sam James showed off his Corsuit swimming device to readers of Plastics News.

- Dr Carol Richards joined an ABC Radio National Bush Telegraph panel on whether the supermarket duopoly was hurting consumers and producers.

- ABC Life Matters spoke to Dr Beth Saggers about the national survey the CRC Autism has launched to measure the needs of all those involved in educating people with autism.

- Dr Malgosia Zlobicki explained how well-designed "legible" gardens can benefit people with dementia to Body and Soul readers which ran throughout the News Corp Sunday papers (see page 14)

- The Courier-Mail's advertorial series on 25 ideas to change the world, featuring cool tools, living better longer, saving the planet, dodging doom and disaster and enhancing paradise, ran prominently from Monday to Friday on Couriermail.com.au

- Wesfarmers Group Commercial Director Ian McLeod spoke to ABC 612 about his role at Wesfarmers before addressing the QUT Business Leaders' Forum, which was covered by the Australian Financial Review and across the APN regional network

- Dr Gary Mortimer told The Age the internet was proving disruptive and destructive for many trades, in a story about Flight Centre's financial results and he spoke to Channel Nine about Queensland's first Zara store

- Dr Mark Lauchs told APN newspapers that while the VLAD laws are unfair, other states will likely adopt Queensland's legislation without change.

- FatCat.com.au republished Professor Kerrie Sadiq's article calling for G20-led tax reform.

- Dr Ian Weir's bushfire-smart house was profiled on architectureanddesign.com.au

- QUT's Project ResQu program was mentioned in a story for the IT News

- Education workshops for teachers led by Professor Nan Bahr and Associate Professor Peter Hudson were the focus of this mysunshinecoast.com.au story

- QUT Vice-Chancellor Professor Peter Coaldrake warned in The Australian of a "thermonuclear" strike on higher education if the Federal Government's planned funding cuts stand but fee deregulation is axed

- Associate Professor Evonne Miller's research on experiences and perceptions of aged care in Australia was covered by Australian Ageing Agenda

- Dr Syed Hasan's research showing customer loyalty programs with gifts that generate gratitude will be the most successful was published on research websites including Science Daily

- The Motor Report wrote about Lauren Shaw's research into driver etiquette, which also featured in Big Rigs transport newspaper

- Dr Amanda Lee's work to ensure the Anangu have a healthy food supply in remote South Australia was featured on Radio Adelaide

- Associate Professor Tina Cockburn and Adjunct Professor Bill Madden's piece asking if we need a law to help people try experimental drugs for The Conversation was picked up by Fairfax papers including The Age
