Business and public sector leaders in Canberra will be offered one of the country's best Executive MBA programs.

The QUT EMBA program develops leaders with the skill and confidence to navigate effectively in complex, ambiguous and emergent environments. Leaders that can leverage innovation and create value for all stakeholders.

From October 2014 the QUT EMBA will be offered at the QUT Executive Education Centre in the Canberra suburb of Deakin.

With a fifteen year track record, the QUT EMBA is one of Australia's top ranked courses by the Australian Financial Review and the QUT Business School is one of only three Australian university corporate education providers ranked in the UK Financial Times' global top 80.

QUT Graduate School of Business Executive Director, Bob O'Connor, said the EMBA would strengthen QUT Business School's presence in Canberra, where it has locally delivered an Executive Masters program for the past six years.

"Our success in equipping senior public sector and business leaders with the skills to become effective decision-makers is unparalleled," he said.

"In offering our EMBA in Canberra, we are giving the senior leaders in business and government the opportunity to take a truly multi-disciplinary view of business challenges, an invaluable skill in a rapidly changing environment.

"We tailor our programs to meet the various business needs of local, national and international, corporate and government organisations."

The QUT Executive MBA program has produced numerous successful graduates, including Martin Moore, CEO at CS Energy, Paul Quilliam, Managing Director and Cofounder of Queensland Kids, and numerous Defence staff and military officers.

An information session providing more detail on the program, which begins in October, will be held on Wednesday 27 August from 4.15pm at QUT's Canberra Executive Education Centre, 2 King Street, Deakin, ACT.
