The Aquatic Centre at QUT's new Science and Engineering Centre on Gardens Point campus is officially open to students, staff and the public.

Boasting a 50m FINA-approved pool, the centre offers recreational swimming, stroke correction and learn-to-swim classes, squad training, aqua aerobics and water polo.

The final stages of construction of the Fitness Club, featuring an indoor running track, standard free and pin-loaded weights sections, cardio zone, functional training area and group fitness studio and the Cycle Centre are currently under way, with both facilities expected to open for semester one.

Healthstream members who present their membership card at the QUT gatehouse will receive free parking at Gardens Point campus (P Block) Monday to Friday between 6am and 8am.

The pool, gym and cycle facilities are operated by Healthstream who also operate the Kelvin Grove gym and pool.
