Carnival Australia Executive Chairman Ann Sherry AO will address the next QUT Business Leaders’ Forum on Tuesday 8 November at the Hilton Brisbane.

Over the past decade, Ms Sherry has achieved annual double-digit growth with Carnival Australia, the largest cruise ship operator in Australasia. She is a member of the global leadership team at Carnival Corporation, the world’s largest cruise ship operator.
She was previously CEO of Westpac New Zealand and of Bank of Melbourne, and was credited with driving cultural change, customer focus and effective community engagement.
Ms Sherry holds a number of non-executive board roles including Sydney Airport, ING Direct, Australian Rugby Union, and Cape York Partnerships. She is also a member of the Supervisory Board of ING Global.
Ms Sherry is a leading advocate for greater diversity and gender equality in organisations. She was an adviser to the Prime Minister on policies to improve the status of women and was Australia’s representative to the United Nations on human rights and women’s rights. She won The Australian Financial Review and Westpac 100 Women of Influence Award and has been awarded an Order of Australia.
Ms Sherry will share her personal journey, her key learnings along the way and the leadership that matters to her, and will also speak about the imperative for companies to better address a range of social justice issues.
