Andrew Thorburn, National Australia Bank Group CEO, will address the next QUT Business Leaders’ Forum at the Sofitel, Turbot St, Brisbane, on October 10.

Mr Thorburn is a career banker with more than 30 years’ experience who has held senior positions in major Australian banks including the Commonwealth Bank and was MD and CEO of the Bank of New Zealand.

He was appointed to his current role in 2014.

He is described as a person who speaks his mind, can make the tough calls, is people-focussed and has a genuine passion for customers.

Mr Thorburn will talk about his strategic vision for NAB, a company with 42,000 employees, and the challenges for NAB and the banking industry.

He will also speak about his views on the changes in the bank’s culture and his drive for innovation, digital transformation and the entrepreneurial spirt that is needed for the organisation.

Tickets are now on sale for the forum, which will be moderated by leading journalist, Kerry O’Brien. Tickets are $170 per person or $1600 per table of 10 (GST included).
