A new cohort of Queensland business greats will be honoured at the Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame 2016 Induction Dinner in Brisbane on Thursday, July 28.

Their names will be revealed in front of a who's who of the business community, during a gala dinner at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The Queensland Business Leaders Hall of Fame is a joint initiative involving the QUT Business School, State Library of Queensland and the Queensland Library Foundation.

The state has been home to successful and innovative companies and entrepreneurs for over 150 years, and the Hall records, retells and celebrates their outstanding stories.

Past recipients have ranged from outstanding individuals such as Terry White, Rhonda WhiteSir Vincent Fairfax and Kate Mary Smith, to group honours for organisations and companies like the RACQ, Bank of Queensland and Mackay Sugar.

Inductees are recognised for their contribution to the reputation of Queensland and its economic and social development.
