A golf cart sized robot that can autonomously navigate its way through a field will soon take the work out of weeding for Queensland farmers.

A partial solar eclipse above Brisbane tomorrow morning won't plunge the city into darkness, says QUT physicist Dr Stephen Hughes. But it will still make interesting viewing with the right equipment.



06.05.13 QUT Classic makes classy debut

The inaugural QUT Classic has been run and won, with Brandon Dewar and Natalie Goodwin taking out the men's and women's 10km title, and Glen Yarham and Michaela Murray winning the 5km titles. More than 800 people competed in Sunday's fun run, including 86-year-old QUT palaeobotanist and World Masters Games competitor John Rigby.
