QUT Classic makes classy debut
The inaugural QUT Classic has been run and won, with Brandon Dewar and Natalie Goodwin taking out the men's and women's 10km title, and Glen Yarham and Michaela Murray winning the 5km titles. More than 800 people competed in Sunday's fun run, including 86-year-old QUT palaeobotanist and World Masters Games competitor John Rigby.

Putting a lid on nitrous oxide emissions from farms
QUT will receive more than $1.8 million funding for three national projects designed to help farmers reduce emissions of one of the most serious greenhouse gases, nitrous oxide, a move that would also lead to improved soil fertility and earn farmers valuable carbon credits.
